All About Money® is an interactive web-based learning program designed for the general public. Marketed primarily through corporations as an employee benefit, the program guides employees through the financial planning process at their own pace. It’s like a “virtual” financial advisor. Employees can choose to explore financial planning just to learn about it – or – work through each step in the process and actually create their own comprehensive financial plans.
Not only will employees learn to gather and interpret the information they’ll need for financial planning, but also how to implement the recommended strategies and make informed financial decisions. Beginning with cash and debt management, employees discover ways to find the money to save and invest, and learn how to compare and contrast financial products and services to determine those most suitable for their personal goals. More importantly, they’ll learn to manage a spouse or loved one’s expectations and stay on track when life events alter their circumstances.
How might financial advisors be involved in this program?  In order to implement certain financial planning strategies, the expertise of a licensed specialist could be required.  In that case, All About Money® equips your employees with the knowledge to evaluate financial advisors and select the most appropriate to meet their needs.  From the financial advisor’s perspective, All About Money® provides a means to spend little-to-no time collecting data, entering information into a software program, and educating clients about the financial planning process.   In effect, the cost of delivering financial planning services is substantially reduced.
